  • Campus STaR Chart - What it is
    The Texas Campus STaR Chart produces a profile of your campus’ status toward reaching the goals of the Long Range Plan for Technology (LRPT) and No Child Left Behind.
  • Campus STaR Chart – what it means
    The profile indicators place your campus at one of four levels of progress in each key area of the LRPT: Early Tech, Developing Tech, Advanced Tech, or Target Tech.
  • Campus STaR Chart Data
    Interpretation: The perception of use of technology in instruction has shifted which would explain the decline from 2007-08 to 2008-09. The campus is working towards regular use of technology by students and teachers.

    Interpretation: The campus continues to move in the direction of technology emersion but is finding the global advancements in technology are difficult to stay abreast of within the public school system.

    Interpretation: The ideological framework is in place to support technological advancement on the campus.

    Interpretation: The campus has provided more technology equipment and provided multiple short introductory trainings.
  • Conclusion – Where do we go from here?
    The results of the STaR chart clearly indicate that we have opportunities in the area of staff development and initiative for teacher preparation. Our faculty and staff must make the use of technology the rule rather than the exception. We will reach students in a whole new capacity once this is achieved.
