2. When you are in Ballet 5 or Ballet 6,
then you will be taught to dance en
Pointe. En Pointe requires a special
type of ballet shoe called a toe
shoe, shown below.
3. A Pas de Duex is when two dancers, a
male and female, dance together. A
male must be very strong, and a
female must be very agile and
graceful. The dancers should also be
comfortable with each other. You can
see some examples in dances like Swan
Lake and Coppelia.
4. If a ballet dancer is a male, he usually wears tights,
ballet shoes and a detailed top.
If a ballerina is a female, she wears either a leotard or
a tutu, and toe shoes.
