One of his important clients called him. A government inspector
wanted to see their I-9 records and labor law posters.

4. Contacting Agencies
At the time, the only way to get labor law posters was to call each
individual government agency to obtain each individual notice.

5. Mr. Rode’s Business Idea
He started to reproduce govt. notices as posters. But they were plain,
took up a lot of wall space and could be easily torn or damaged.

6. 1989 The first CA Space Saver
A graphic designer redesign and shrunk all notices on one poster. A printing company
produced the posters and everything was shipped form Mr. Rode’s garage.
