    • 1. The
game
started
in
Brazil
and
was
first
created
by
Octavio
de
Moraes,
1965.
The
home
town
of
Futevolei
is
Rio
de
Janeiro.
Players
would
play
on
the
beach
using
a
football/soccer
ball.
Most
players
would
be
professional
reHred
football
players.
They
would
have
an
average
of
five
each
side,
someHmes
though
they
would
be
so
good
that
people
would
play
with
two
each
side,
which
is
sHll
used
today.

 The
rules
from
Futevolei
are
based
 on
the
original
rules
from
football
 and
volleyball.
Futevolei
is
original
 volleyball
without
using
your
 hands
and
not
a
volleyball
but
 instead
a
football.
Points
are
 awarded
if
the
ball
hits
the
ground
 in
the
opponent’s
court
also
team
 gets
the
point
if
the
opponent
 doesn’t
send
the
ball
back.
The
 official
internaHonal
height
for
the
 net
is
2.2
metres.
The
rally
point
 system
is
how
they
score.
FiMeen
 points
are
used
for
sets
of
three
or
 sets
of
eighteen
points.
    • 3. Here
is
a
clip
from
utube
showing
how
they
play
in
modern
7mes.
h9p://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goNUQxlyk‐o
In
modern
7mes
they
have
big
compe77ons
for
groups
of
five
to
two
to
compete
in.
These
days
they
use
a
football
(what
we
call
a
soccer
ball)
and
a
2.2
metre
volleyball
net.
They
can
only
kick
or
head
the
ball,
to
serve
they
put
the
ball
on
the
far
right
corner
(This
is
marked
with
the
black
X’s
on
the
volleyball
court)

    • 4. We
are
going
to
play
using
the
metal
tennis
nets
and
a
soccer
ball
or
bouncy
ball
it
depends
on
how
good
you
are
once
we
start
playing.
You
are
going
to
be
in
groups
of
five.
You
will
be
able
to
use
your
hands
only
once
to
throw
the
ball
up
in
the
air
so
you
can
head
it,
this
how
we
will
be
serving.
You
will
be
able
to
use
any
part
of
your
body
except
your
hands.
If
the
ball
touches
the
ground
in
the
opponents
half
of
the
court
or
your
opponent
fails
to
return
the
ball
including
it
hiPng
the
net
you
get
the
point.
We
will
score
like
tennis
scoring.
