  • 2. Geographical info El Salvador is in both the northern and western hemispheres. Located in North America on the western edge of the Central America a somewhat narrow strip of land that connects North and South America - the country is bordered by Guatemala, Honduras and the Pacific Ocean. Two parallel mountain ranges cross El Salvador. The northern range of mountains is the sierra madre, the southern range of mountains is actually a chain of more than twenty volcanoes.
