           HIStORY
           Built circa 1879, this attractive brick home was once owned by
           Chicago's first mayor, William B. Ogden. The building was later
           gutted to its solid brick, limestone and oak core and reborn as the first
           detached, two-unit condominium in Illinois. 919 W. Wisconsin, the
           larger of two fee-simple, side-by-side townhomes, became the sponsor's
           residence and underwent a complete renovation.

           In 2005, it was classified as an "historically contributing" property by
           the Chicago Landmarks Commission Survey. The home is located in
           the Sheffield Historic District, which was listed in the National Register
           of Historic Places in 1976.
