• Multiple demos showcasing mobile web sites and partner
solutions (SungardHE, Blackboard) emphasized the need to
do something.

• Homegrown or Boxed?
• Blackboard Mobile offers a “free” mobile website for
schools that purchase the full Mobile Learn product
($$$$).
• SungardHE Mobile Framework promises an free
integrated mobile framework for Banner schools. We
are still waiting to see it.
• Decision made to pilot MIT Mobile Framework
• Pre-built Mobile platform with support for
iPhones, Blackberries, and other devices
• Wide community base
