2. The CSA Partners With the Children’s
Health Fund
James Brown’s tenure at Baldwin Middle School
from 2001-2009 was characterized by numerous
achievements. During this period, Baldwin Middle
School students improved year after year on
standardized tests. Moreover, James Brown was
distinguished with a Performance Award from the
Council of School Supervisors and Administrators
(CSA) for the 2000-2001 academic year.
3. The CSA Partners With the Children’s
Health Fund
A New York City (NYC)-based collective bargaining
union, the CSA represents a wide range of
educational administrators, including 200 assistant
directors and directors of Early Childhood Education
centers and 6,000 supervisors, assistant principals,
and principals. Additionally, the CSA’s ranks extend
to the Retiree Chapter’s roughly 6,400 retired
supervisors. The organization’s obligations include
negotiating salaries, benefits, and working
conditions and overseeing the enforcement of the
terms of its members’ contracts.
4. The CSA Partners With the Children’s
Health Fund
In 2013, the CSA partnered with the Children’s
Health Fund to highlight the impact of asthma on
NYC school children. Because the affliction accounts
for more absences in NYC and nationally than any
other single condition, one objective of the
partnership is to explore potential solutions to the
problem.
