Amit graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1999 with a double major in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
With an interest for the consumer internet space, he returned to India to start work on a social networking product in 2000. While developing the concept, he successfully authored two patents US 7047202 and US 7761383 which were among the first patents written for the social networking industry.
