3. Causes
Deforestation and encroachment of lands have led
to habitat loss for many animals.
Biomedical research has also promoted trade in
animals.
Fur trade is very popular in Europe and the United
States. Heavy demand in fur-products led to the killing
of animals on a large-scale for their pelts.

5. How does animal extinction affect humans?
When humans remove an animal from the food chain, the
predators and the prey of that animal are greatly affected.
The predators die of starvation and the prey overpopulate.
When the predators die, the predators of those predators die,
and so on.
The opposite happen with the extinct animal's prey.
Its prey overpopulates and then overkill their prey. Then the prey
of those prey overshoot and collapse. Eventually these
disturbances will make their way to humans in the the form
of death and disease.
16. 10)Tiger
There are only about 3,200 tigers left in the entire world. Poaching is
one major factor and destruction of their habitat by deforestation is
the other.
17. 11) Polar bear
If the climate continues to warm at the current rate, the polar bear will
soon face extinction.
19. Resolutions
Tightening and enforcing legislation
It’s one thing to ban or limit trade in a particular species, but
another to effectively enforce this — especially in developing
countries where equipment, training, and funds for enforcement
are often lacking-.
Public education
One of the most powerful tools of all for addressing illegal and
unsustainable wildlife trade is to persuade consumers to make
informed choices when buying wildlife-based products.
