Australasian Shared Services & Outsourcing Week 2011 to Unveil G6
Visionaries
- April Conference to Present Fresh Approach to Community
Nominated Industry Panel -
MELBOURNE, Australia (14 January 2011) - Produced by the Shared Services &
Outsourcing Network (SSON), the largest and most established community of shared services
and outsourcing professionals, the 14th Annual Australasian Shared Services & Outsourcing
Week, will feature the "G6," a panel of six unique sell-side visionaries (previously known as
"G8").
The G6 will recognise those industry leaders shaping the future of shared services. Nominees
have been selected by buy-side SSON community members. Nominee names are listed on the
G6 website where community members can vote - www.sharedservicesweek.com.au/g6. The
final results will be publicly unveiled for the first time at the SSOW Australasia 2011, being held
April 11-14, 2011 at the Palladium at Crown in Melbourne, Australia.
Donal Graham, partner at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, spoke about the significance of the event,
"The strength of this session is that it opens up key issues for real debate and provides an
insight into the experiences, passions and differences across and between the G6 members – it
exposes individual opinions to the blowtorch of peer review.”
SSON noted that the newly improved G6 approach marks a shift from a single company voice to
highlighting a more individual sense of personality, hoping to add substance to the conference,
while further freeing up the flow of discussion throughout SSO Week.
The 2011 event will engage more than 450 shared services and outsourcing professionals with
expert presentations from companies such as Macquarie, BP Elite, Telstra, University of
Sydney, The Salvation Army, Schweppes, and NAB over the course of three days. Attendees
