  • TihomirKatulic Tihomir Katulic at Pravni fakultet Zagreb Maybe there's room for a girl version of android. Now since 'andro' is tied to guys, what would be the name of the girl version, gynodroid. Somehow, that sounds very wrong.

    Excellent presentation Alja...

  • ialja Alja Isakovic, Mobile, social, e-learning fairy at All over the place Very true Natan, thanks for your comment! Android certainly need to focus more on the experience and less on the technology if it wants to become a truly mainstream OS. And that goes both for how the OS is designed and how it is marketed. 2 years ago

  • NathanNever Natan Nikolic, Designer at Freelance How come so many girls like and adore Wall-e? It's not the robot image that's not working for girls (and many man). It's that 'engineering is awesome and if you don't understand how TCP/IP protocol works you are not intended to use smartphone anyays' attitude and lack of empathy that turns people off. Well done presentation Alja. Congratulations on featuring. 2 years ago

  • ialja Alja Isakovic, Mobile, social, e-learning fairy at All over the place Agreed, the name doesn't really make Android easier to sell to women, and some of the ads are even emphasizing the droid nature of the OS. Not a turn on for girls; we do like pretty things! :) 2 years ago
