2. Introduction
Help! Mrs. Frizzwart has a problem.
Her students in her 3rd grade class
are always falling asleep because she
drones on and on in her whiny high-
pitched voice and doesn’t do
anything to make class exciting.
Mrs. Frizzwart is about to start a
new unit about healthy eating ,and
she needs YOUR help to make it
exciting so that her students can
learn to take care of their bodies.
You only have one week to get
something together – her new unit
starts on Monday!
3. Task
Mrs. Frizzwart wants 8 activities to do with her
students, and she wants each activity to feature
one of the 8 multiple intelligences.
As a class, your mission is to come up with 8
different activities for Mrs. Frizzwart – one for
each of the multiple intelligences.
4. Process
1) Find a Partner
2) Sign-up with teacher for a multiple intelligence
3) Using resources on previous slide and the internet,
find an activity that fits the intelligence you chose AND
goes along with the healthy eating unit (Example:
Intrapersonal (Myself) – journal daily for one week about
your healthiest meal)
4) Make sure your activity is appropriate for young
children, ages 8-9
5) Ask yourself questions like: “How would someone who
loves music be able to learn about eating healthfully
while enjoying music?” A possible answer may be
something like: “Through learning a song that talks about
making healthy food choices” (Make question relevant to
your multiple intelligence)
5. Process Continued…
6) After choosing an activity, create a tri-fold
display that includes the components listed on the
rubric
7) Present your display to the entire class and make
sure each partner in your group is part of the
presentation.
8) This presentation will be presented on Friday.
