Step one Roll out the ball of clay into a pancake about diameter of your rolling pin or slab roller.

Step 2 Cut a circle out of the clay with something pointy

Step 3 Lift up your circle and smooth off all of the edges and surfaces with your rib.

step4 draw your design on the outer edge of the circle for the rolling stamp. use the large flat surface for a push stamp.

Step 5 Dry out your stamp and then gently brush off any extra clay with your fingers The dry stamps can be fired to the first firing in a kiln. The first firing if you would like to glaze apply glaze and fire one more time then you have a ceramic stamp
