1. MY DAY AT THE LAKE by Diana

2. It was a sunny Saturday morning. My dad was talking to my mom. I was thinking what they were talking about.

3. Then in just a few minutes my dad told me and my sister that we were going to the lake. I was so excited! Me and my sister rushed to the room!

4. We looked everywhere for our swimsuits, and we looked in the closet. There they were! I was so happy!

5. Just then my mom told me what I had to get. She gave me a list: towel, sun block, extra clothes, and swimsuit. I checked off the swimsuit.

6. I looked around. Then I found a towel and checked it off.

7. Then the sun block. I found it on the cabinet. I checked it off.

8. I got everything. I went to my mom’s room and told her that I was ready to go.

9. My mom and dad put everything in the car. Me and my sisters got in the car, and we were on our way.

10. It took about fifteen minutes to get to the lake. At last we were there.

11. I was so happy that I jumped up and down! We took out everything and went straight to the water and played and “SPLASHED”!

12. My mom told me we had to eat sandwiches. I was so disappointed. After we ate sandwiches, we ran back to the water to play just a couple more minutes.

13. Then it was getting dark, and we had to go home. I was so sad, but sooner or later we will come back and play again. That is why I wasn’t that sad.

14. Author's Note I am Diana. I like to listen to music and sing sometimes. My favorite sport is basketball because it's sort of fun. I have four sisters. Two are twins. I wrote this story because I thought it would be fun for someone to read about my life. I hope you like my story.
