4. 1 Tim 5:17 All elders who give good leadership
in the church are worthy of double honour
especially those who work hard at preaching
and teaching. 18 As the Bible says,“Don’t
muzzle an ox as it treads out the grain” and,
“A workman is worthy of his wages.” 19 Don’t
support an accusationagainst an elder unless
it is validated by the testimonyof two or three
different witnesses.
5. 1 Tim 5:20 Those who are guilty of wrongdoing
should be rebuked before the whole church so
that everyone might be warned.
21 I stronglytestify before God, Christ Jesus
and the elect angels that you should do all of
these things without prejudice and do nothing
from partiality. 22 Don’t lay hands hastily on
anyone or become a participator in the sins of
others. Keep yourself pure.
6. 1 Tim 5:23 (Start taking a little wine, rather
than water only, for your frequentstomach
ailments.)
24 Some people’s sins are obvious even before
you make your own assessmentbut the sinsof
others appear later. 25 People’s good deeds
are also obvious and even if they are not
immediately noticed they won’t stay hidden
for long.
