Note. At the request of the consumer is allowed to manufacture lumber with dimensions not indicated in the
table.
3. The width of the narrow layer, measured in any place long unedged timber shall be:
for thicknesses of 16 to 50 mm. . . . . Not less than 50 mm
for thicknesses of 60 to 100 mm. . . . not less than 60 mm
for thicknesses from 125 to 300 mm. . . . Not less than 0.6 thick.
The width of the plate edged timber with non-parallel edges at the narrow end should be:
for thicknesses of 16 to 50 mm. . . . not less than 50 mm
for thicknesses of 60 to 100 mm. . . . not less than 60 mm
for thicknesses from 125 to 300 mm. . . . Not less than 0.7 thick.
(Revised edition, Mod. № 1).
4. Lumber must also be constructed with the following dimensions of cross-sections:
for export-63h160, 90x90, 90H125, 50h300, 63H300, 75h300; 100H300 mm. In agreement with the
consumer lumber these cross sections can be produced for the domestic market;
Platform truck, 40H180, 70h150 mm;
for the boards of oil rigs, 400x400, 360h360, 200H400, 180H350, 150H300, 300x300 mm;
for bridge timbers, 200h240, 220h260 mm;
2. for auto and car-width of 110 and 130 mm.
5. The nominal dimensions of sawn timber on thickness and width are established for wood moisture
20%. With a moisture content of wood more or less than 20% of the actual dimensions of width and thickness
should be more or less than the nominal dimensions by an appropriate amount of shrinkage in accordance
with GOST 6782.1-75.
6. The nominal dimensions of length of sawn timber set:
for the domestic market and export-from 1.0 to 6.5 m grading 0.25 m, for the manufacture of containers,
ranging from 0.5 m to 0.1 m grading;
for bridge timbers, 3, 25 m;
for exports and from 0.9 to 6.3 m with 0.3 m grading
7. Maximum deviations from the nominal size of lumber establish:
in length, mm. . . . . . . . . 50 and -25
in thickness, mm:
with sizes up to 32 mm inclusive. . . . . ± 1,0
from 40 to 100 mm inclusive. . . . . . ± 2,0
more than 100 mm. . . . . . . ± 3,0
width for trimming lumber, mm:
with sizes up to 100 mm inclusive. . . . ± 2,0
more than 100 mm. . . . . . . . ± 0,3
For timber less than 1.5 m in length tolerances are not set.
7a. In agreement with the consumer for the domestic market are allowed to lumber graded by the length of
0.3 m and tolerances on thickness and width in accordance with GOST 26002-83.
8. Measuring the size of timber in accordance with GOST 6564-84,.
