  • Garritt Garritt Great presentation. I just watched the whole thing, then added a link on my site. I liked the conversational tone of the presentation. SEO can be so sterile, but you did a great job of making the topic seem accessible. 3 years ago Reply

  • gleddy gleddy @ chrisheuer, I definitely agree it's being used for evil in many places... I find this unnecessary and just ignorant to the bigger picture. 4 years ago Reply

  • jboutelle Jonathan Boutelle , entrepreneur CTO at SlideShare I LOVED this talk! (My fave from the conference, and that's saying a lot. Though I missed the closing keynote, which was supposed to provide instant spiritual-technical awakening / nirvana. Anyway...).

One thing that really came through at webdirections south: white-hat SEO IS a legitimate functional role that has a lot of intersection with other positive web practices. It's effective, it's ethical, and it's something that everybody on a technical and business team can get on board with.

I'll be taking the ideas in this presentation and in the excellent conversations I had with various web-directions peeps, and try to fold them into our practice and our site. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!

  • chrisheuer Chris Heuer , Creative Social Strategist and Coach at Social Media Club First off - this is a really really great slideshow - informative and entertaining.

I want to add on to what you say though, in that SEO is like most any other tool - it could be used for evil purposes, but its intended purpose is for good - so once again, it comes down to being a matter of the intent with which it is used...
