In this particular case, some sections of the title have been covered by the image on the front of the magazine. This shows that the magazine is very popular as it is not afraid to hide it’s title. It is such a popular magazine that just by seeing a few of the letters the audience will already be able to tell what the magazine is. Rock Sound also has a masthead very similar to Kerrang. This magazine has a very obvious logo that is the ‘R’ from ‘Rock Sound’. Again, a large section of the title has been covered by the image on the front of the magazine. This means that this magazine is also very popular and the title will be recognizable even with a large portion missing.

This specific magazine has words like ‘Win’ and phrases like ‘World Exclusive’ to attract audiences. These words will instantly stand out to customers. This magazine also has sell lines. One specific word used a lot on the front cover of this magazine is ‘Free’ as this word will always attract customers. This magazine, like the other one has free posters which will also attract fans of the bands/artists on the posters as well as the main image band.

The band in the image are wearing mainly black so the house style can be anything as they are not likely to clash. The orange colour in the background is made to match with the ‘Fall Out Boy’ band logo, giving the magazine a professional look. The main image on this magazine is an image of a band. They are staring right at the camera which shows direct address to the audience which can attract customers. Its clear that they are ‘Fall Out Boy’ as that text is so large. Even though all the men in this image are wearing black the image has quite a happy vibe as two of them are smiling.

The band in the main image are wearing a lot of blue denim and the man at the front is wearing a pink hat. The magazine have used these colours as their house colours for this issue to match the image and create a great house style. Ensuring the ‘Sleeping with sirens’ band logo is pink and white ensures that the text matches the house style and ensures the magazine looks professional Main Image The main image on this magazine is an image of a band. Once again they are all staring at the camera giving a direct mode of address to the audience, attracting customers. The men on this image are wearing much brighter colours, making the entire magazine seem much more colourful. Both this image and kerrangs image will attracts fans of the bands on the cover.
