7. 2010 - Student dwellings in Champs-sur-Marne
The project of 14 students dwelling sits on a parcel
in the City of Champs-sur-Marne (in the suburbia of
Paris), on a ground characterized by a fairly steep
slope and its north / south orientation.
It is therefore asked to consider the repetition of a
module that is as effective and as comfortable as
possible.
South elevation
The project is initiated by the various activities of a
student and its major needs. Thus we can identify
a division into four specific areas. First, the entry of
the apartment opens onto a small living room and
kitchen. Then one reaches on the bathroom which
comes to create a separation between the sleeping
area, rather “dark”, and the working area, which is
widely opened to the outside by a large window. A
glass door gives access to the terrace of the flat.
North elevation
The openings are considered according to the
orientation of accommodation : the terraces of
the lower flats open to the south, so an overhang
of the upper flats creates a solar protection
against strong sunlight. On the other hand, the
upper flats’ terraces need a considerable amount
of light as they are looking north.

Flexibility Around a core
1 2 1
“In Abstracto” is an exercise where we were asked
to think about the notion of comfort in housing
without taking account of surroundings.
The points I chose to develop :
- a bearing core we can go around
- a light structure that creates flexible spaces
- through appartments.

18. 2011 - A boiler house in Gennevilliers
This project that took most of my time during
my fisrt stay with GD-LC is a competition
launched by the CPCU (Parisian company of
Urban Heating) in order to build a boiler house in
Gennevilier’s harbour (north-east of Paris).
Litwin, an engineering group, chose LWA (Luc
Weizmann Architect) to help them working the
architectural side of the boiler and allow better
site planning. By lack of time, LWA has himself
chosen GD-LC to handle the graphic work and
assist in its deliberations.
