This document provides instructions for doing a fishtail braid. [1] It lists supplies needed like hair ties, bobby pins, and hair spray. [2] It describes prepping the hair by combing it out and optionally wetting it. [3] It then outlines the 9 steps to do the fishtail braid, which involves alternately crossing small sections of hair over each other from the sides while braiding down the length of the hair.

Step 3 review
8. Steps 7, 8 & 9
7. Once you have braided as far
as you want, Take a hair tie, or rubber band
and tie off your braid.
8. After you tie off your braid,
You can pull the braid outward to make it look thicker
or messy, depending on the look you want.
9. Hair spray your braid to hold down
any loose strands or fraying pieces and make it last
all day.
9. You have now completed a
fish tail braid…
Now that you completed your first fish tail braid, how do you
feel?
A fish tail braid is not a very easy or quick braid, but once you
get the hang of it things will go smoother.
Remember, practice makes perfect.
