6. How does it work? Now you know what the respiratory system is, we can go in into focus on how we get air, and precisely the way we get oxygen. The fist step is to get it into our lungs.

8. Why do we need this system? All the cells in your body require oxygen. Without it, you could hardly do anything; you wouldn’t Be able to move, build, reproduce or turn food into energy Because, of course you’d be dead.
9. Diseases and Illnesses Asthma is one of the many respiratory problems. The word ‘asthma’ comes from the ancient Greek word meaning panting. Asthma accurs when the Bronchi gets swollen. This can result in as small as minor wheezing , to as big as major problems in breathing.

11. What can I do to protect it? Never smoke! Smoking attacks all your vital respiratory organs especially your lungs, your throats and mouth. Just don’t!! Avoid air pollution! Not only does it kill the environment, but also fills our lungs with harmful toxins. Exercise and get fresh air!! If you exercise regularly, you strengthen your lungs and does wonders for your health!!
