    Conversion Pipeline’s Small Business Social Media Checklist 
                                  




                                                                                   
                                           
    Facebook
       Create a fan website for your business
       Send "Friend Requests" to your friends, colleagues and customers
       Accept "Friend Requests" from friends, colleagues and customers
       Subscribe to other friend's websites, news letters, fan pages, etc.
       People love looking at pictures - Add some to your profile each month
       Promote your other social networking sites (Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogs)
       Update your status once per day (pertinent info on your company/industry)
       Share a business success story one per week (Don't brag but share)
       Comment on at least one fan webpage per day
       Respond "Yes" or "No" to all event invitations
       Search, and add, for more people that you know each day
       Create and promote a networking event in your area (get involved)
       Respond to all comments on your wall
       Congratulate people with birthdays
       Leave comments on 2 people's walls each day
       Comment on friend's status updates
       Update your status every time you go out for a social occasion
       Add news related articles in your business fan page
       Send a friend request for people that you have just met
       Focus on your objective which is to generate leads

    Twitter
       Create and customize your Twitter home page
       Send your Twitter ID to all friends, colleagues, partners, etc.
       Tweet business related news once per day
       Ask a business related question once per day
       Follow back people/companies that follow you
       In your tweets Hash (#) mark preceding keywords that are descriptive of
        your business
       Retweet at least 2 articles that you read online per day
       Send at least one direct message per day
       Promote your other social networking sites (in general)
       Upload photos as often as you can
       Include your twitter URL in your email signature




 
 

    LinkedIn
       Create your LinkedIn page, highlight your strengths, accomplishments,
        values, experiences, etc.
       Update your status once per day
       Promote your other social networking sites (Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogs)
       Integrate your Twitter account into your Linked-In account
       Integrate your Blog into your Linked-In account
       Join professional groups
       Post in each professional group at least once per week
       Upload any business presentations or PDFs to your profile (People will look at
        them!)
       Search for and add new people to your network each day
       Send a connection request for people that you have just met
       Congratulate people on promotions or job changes
       Recommend people when asked - be honest about performance
       Share customer success stories in your status when they occur
       Use Linked-In to prospect for your business each day

    Blogs
       Create a blog (in WordPress, Google, etc.)
       Comment on at least 2 business related blogs each day
       Always use your real name and complete URL (http://www……) when
        responding to a post – good SEO value
       Don't brag - post value-added comments
       Tag Blogs that you are interested in following
       Search for new blogs to contribute to each day
       Update your own blog each day with value-added information
       Use images to get your point across as often as you can
       Tag all blog posts
       Integrate your Blog with your social media websites
       Make sure your contact information is easily accessible
       Always respond to each blog post as soon as you can
       Reference studies you find interesting in your blog (use excerpts)
       Include your Blog URL in your email signature
