The survey asked immigrants in a Spanish school questions about their native countries. Most came from Morocco. Over half keep in touch with relatives in their home countries and send money to support them. While many keep traditions from their home cultures, like religion and dress, South Americans identify more with Spanish culture and have mostly Spanish friends.

4. 3. Have you got relatives in your native country? Who? Most of the immigrants have got relatives in their native countries such as uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents.

6. 5. How often do you go to your native country? Almost 70% of the immigrants in Spain go to their native country every summer and 20% go every two years, more o less.

7. 6. Do you want to return to your native country? South American people are the ones who wish the most to return to their native country.

8. 7 . Does your family send money to some relatives in your native country? More than a half of the immigrant families in Spain send money to some relatives in their native country.

9. 8. Do you keep up the religious traditions of your native country? Almost 60% of the immigrants keep up the traditions of their native countries. The Moroccan are the most conservative when it comes to religion.

11. 10. Where do you go shopping? Only 15% of the immigrants usually buy in supermarkets specialized in typical food of their native country.

12. 11. Do you ever wear traditional clothes from your native country? African people are those who wear traditional clothes from their native countries more often.

13. 12. Are the majority of your friends from your native country ? Most of the friends of South American immigrants are Spanish.
