The Indiana Biography Project aims to publish biographies of inspiring Hoosiers to fill Indiana schools, libraries, and historical societies. The project founder believes there are thousands of Hoosier stories that deserve to be published. Published biographies so far have profiled farmers, conservationists, and businesspeople. The project encourages nominations of individuals who have made their community better. Businesses are invited to sponsor publications to support the project's educational and inspirational goals.

careers.
3. PURPOSE OF THE INDIANA
BIOGRAPHY PROJECT
• Fill the shelves of Indiana schools, libraries and historical
societies with Indiana’s own inspirational stories, and do
it with home grown books written and designed in a
compelling way by Hoosier authors.
• Donate our books: Copies of every Legacy Tree Books
biography will be donated to local schools, libraries, and
historical societies.
4. WHO THE BIOGRAPHIES
ARE ABOUT
• People who have made their community better
but whose story cannot compete on the national
book market against the likes of Trump and
Oprah.
• Digital printing has reduced the cost of
publishing books, so that now (if we act
together) we can afford to print and distribute
local biographies that are educational,
inspirational and more desirable to have in our
schools and libraries.
5. PAST BIOGRAPHIES
(Chronological Order)
• Cecil Westerhouse-White County farmer who
pioneered large-scale hog production
• David and Connie Stevenson-A story of economy
kicks, faith, tithing, tall towers, radio
stations, communications, and global generosity.
• Gene Pruitt-An Indiana mans life from tilling with
horses and tenant farming to satellite steering of
farm machinery and precision application of
chemicals.
6. PAST BIOGRAPHIES CONT’D

• Bill Rawlings-A story of soil and water
conservation, and of a farm family tracing its lineage
back to Rawlings plantations in Maryland predating
George Washington’s life by over one hundred years
• Mike Shutter-A story of advanced farming
techniques, breeding championship Red Poll
cattle, trade missions to China, and fifty years of
doctoring the soil health of a couple thousand acres
of central Indiana farmland.

10. BECOME A SPONSOR CONT’D
• It is widely known that most people when faced with a grave situation
where that can only save very few personal belongings tend to save items
that are irreplaceable such as pictures.
• People do this because they know that no matter how much money they
have, they will never be able to get their memories back.
• This is precisely what this project is about preserving memories and
stories that once they are gone, will never be able to be redeemed.
• We are tasked with saving the pictures and memories of the state of
Indian from the eternal fire of time, so I implore you to please help us in
this cause and know that you are sponsoring a worthy community project
that will last long after we all depart.
11. HOW SPONSORSHIPS WORK
• The Sponsor pays Legacy Tree Books a specific sum of
money to place a designated number of Legacy Tree
Biographies in libraries, schools and historical society
archives.
• There is no limit on how many books that you can sponsor
and price will depend on how much public exposure you
want Legacy Tree Books to provide your sponsorship.
