The Honorable Martin Nesbitt
The Honorable J. Kevin Poorman
The Honorable Julianna Smoot
Dear Director Smoot, Director Poorman and Director Nesbitt:
My personal correspondence with you, today, June 21, 2014, is to share and
express to you my thoughts on the future of The Barack Obama Presidential Library.
Over the past weeks, my correspondence to you was to express primary
consideration and your favorable decision that Hawaii be the site of The Barack Obama
Presidential Library. My expression to you, upon reflection, is one of bias and self-
interest being born and raised in Hawaii. In my heart there is no place in this whole
wide world better than Hawaii.
We have but one President, Barack Obama, having his early beginnings in
Hawaii, Illinois and New York. President Obama’s life and career is focused on equality.
“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” --- Abraham Lincoln
We live in the age of information technology and digitization. My suggestion is
Washington, D.C. be selected for The Barack Obama Presidential Library. The states of
Hawaii, New York and Illinois shall have branches radiating from the main Presidential
Library in Washington, D.C. to enhance and expand the sharing of the good and
continuing work of President Obama to residents and visitors from around the world,
bringing closer the European, Asian, Middle Eastern and African Continents.

My suggestions for a permanent Presidential Residence for President Obama,
First Lady Michelle Obama, Malia Ann and Natasha in Hawaii are being developed.
Personally, having traveled to Illinois, New York and Washington, D.C. from
Hawaii, the harmonization of the beauty of Hawaii, Illinois and New York to Washington,
D.C. brings forward the legacy and career of President Barack Obama. From New York,
Illinois, Hawaii and Washington, D.C., President Obama will have places from which to
further share and to have places to rest, restore and revive himself and his family from
visits, speaking and traveling engagements to here, there and everywhere.
Thank you very much.
Most Respectfully,
Electronically Signed
Clifton M Hasegawa
