A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM THE PREMIER
On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I am delighted to extend
warm greetings to everyone attending the 2013 Chinese New Year
Cultural Festival, organized by the Phoenix Academy of the Arts.
Ontario’s cultural expression is as diverse as its people. This inaugural
festival taps into our province’s cherished diversity by giving those in
attendance the opportunity to develop a deeper appreciation of
Chinese dance and music. I am confident that audiences will find
themselves greatly enriched by this experience.
I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to making this
special event possible, including John Zhang of the Phoenix Academy
of the Arts, all the talented performers and co-presenter Shaun Chen,
Vice Chair of and trustee with the Toronto District School Board.
Please accept my best wishes for a very enjoyable festival and for a
happy and prosperous Year of the Snake.
