The document contains several poems about the topic of beauty. Some key themes across the poems include:
- Beauty can be found internally in qualities like kindness and courage rather than only externally.
- True beauty is found in imperfections as that is what makes people unique.
- Beauty is everywhere in nature, relationships, and small acts of joy.
2. BEAUTY
ALICIA MEYERS
Beauty is not in the face,
But in the light of the heart,
Beauty is what we embrace,
But not we take apart.
Every person has beauty,
No matter what he or she looks like,
Everyone is a somebody,
And everyone has their strikes.
Beauty is something you can't make,
You can't put make-up on,
And have people look and take,
And think that nothing is wrong.
Beauty is what you see,
Inside others hearts and souls,
Nothing is for free,
So don't be fortold.
3. The poem, Beauty, is a poem that explains what the writer thinks that beauty is. The images
that this poem gives me are mostly women or men of all different sizes, skin color, looks, etc.
It also gives me an image of natural beauty. This poem also has rhyme scheme. Every other
line rhymes throughout the whole poem.
4. WHAT IS BEAUTY IF…
SHANMUGAMCHETTIAR
What is beauty
If it is not found in a child by its mother?
What is beauty
If it is not found in women by men?
What is beauty
If it is not found in what you have created?
What is beauty
If it is not found in sacrifices you make?
What is beauty
If it is not found in foot prints you left?
Be it found
Before it is too late for you to do
5. The poem, What is Beauty if, is repetitive. Throughout the whole poem it states “what is beauty
if”. I like this poem because the descriptions of what beauty is can be found in anyone. Also, it
helps people to recognize the true meaning of beauty.
6. TRUE BEAUTY
HILARY LEBLANC
True beauty is everywhere
In everything and everyone
If everyone is beautiful
No one should we shun
We all have imperfections
That no one can deny
But that’s what makes us different
Uniqueness is what we imply
True beauty can be found
In the smallest of things
Like a smile or a glance
Or when a bluebird sings
The thing about true beauty
Is that sometimes it may hide
So never judge a book by its cover
Because most times true beauty comes from inside
7. The poem, True Beauty, is one of my favorites because it talks about
how everybody has imperfections and that’s what makes us who we
are. This poem has rhyme scheme throughout the whole poem. The
mood is inspiring, it helps people to realize what beauty really is.
8. WHAT IS BEAUTY
ARTI CHOPRA
beauty they say
is being fair of face
beauty is unexplainable
its everywhere, at everyplace
theres beauty in a mothers eyes
and beauty in a babysface
beauty in a soaring tree
and beauty in a
deserted place
beauty in knobbly hands,
that are weathered due to toil and pace
beauty in natures creations
beauty in His kindness and grace
beauty in the joy of parenthood
beauty in the love of friends
beauty too in adversities
and the angels of mercy he also sends
so much beauty, so much joy
all around if we care to see
this world is full of wondrous things
not apparent to you and me
stop to savour reflect awhile
there is beauty all around
things that happen, prayers anwered
His beauty leaves you spellbound
9. The poem, What is Beauty, explains the writers thought of what beauty is.
This poem also explains where and how you can find beauty. This poem uses
rhyme scheme throughout the whole poem.
10. BEAUTY IS A MILLION
COLORS
SAREEAHKEELYN
Beauty is more than appearance
Beauty is love
The graceful wings of a dove
The endless imagination in a dream
Beauty is not always something that can be seen
Beauty is laughter
And the remembrance after
Beauty is hope
When you have no reason to
Beauty is he and she and me and you
Beauty is forgiving
No matter how hard
Beauty is kindness
Making the best of a mess
Beauty is tears
And overcoming your fears
Beauty is individuality
The courage to be yourself
Beauty is a book, sitting on a shelf
To define beauty,
An impossible task
Because truly,
Does anyone really know, I ask
Beauty is different to me
Than to you
I wonder if anyone ever knew
11. The poem, Beauty is a Million Colors, was chosen because I believe in
a lot of these ideas of beauty. This poem uses personification when it
states that beauty is a certain thing. Beauty is given real life
characteristics.
12. BEAUTIFUL
CHRISTINA AGUILERA
Every day is so wonderful
Then suddenly it's hard to breathe.
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain, I'm so ashamed.
I am beautiful no matter what they say.
Words can't bring me down.
I am beautiful in every single way.
Yes, words can't bring me down... Oh no.
So don't you bring me down today.
To all your friends you're delirious,
So consumed in all your doom.
Trying hard to fill the emptiness.
The pieces gone, left the puzzle undone.
is that the way it is?
You are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down....oh no
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring you down, oh, no
So don't you bring me down today...
No matter what we do
We're the song inside the tune
Full of beautiful mistakes
And everywhere we go
The sun will always shine
And tomorrow we might wake on the other side
We are beautiful no matter what they say
Yes, words won't bring us down, no, no
We are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring us down, oh, no
So don't you bring me down today
13. For the previous slide I used a song instead of a poem. The song I used is Beautiful by
Christina Aguilera. I chose this song because it is one of my favorites from her and it’s
really inspiring to me. She sings about no one bringing you down and that we are all
beautiful no matter what.
14. BEAUTY FOREVER
PROF. AYAZMOMIN
The Beauty - Is not in her mole, But in refection Of her soul.
She cares - For her Passion shows, O'er the past years, It's only her Beauty That grow
15. The poem, Beauty Forever, uses alliteration at the end when it says “grows and
grows”. This poem also uses rhyme scheme in each stanza. This poem uses a
tone of admiration of true beauty, stating where and how beauty is found.
16. JUST YOU
REYA ANYA
Beauty is a leafy tree And the gentle breeze that moves it It's the swelling of a saphire tide As the
graceful fish swim through it Beauty is both common and rare It goes right to the core It lifts you up
above the clouds And leaves you wanting more It's a gentle ray of sunshine It's a smile that makes
you weak It's the pitter patter of raindrops It's the words of love you speak The most perfect beauty
of all Is raw and bare and bruised It's the beauty when I close my eyes And all I see is you.
17. The poem in the previous slide is called Just You. This poem uses personification by giving beauty
human characteristics. In the poem it says that beauty is a leafy tree, which is in fact not possible because
it is not a person. This poem also uses rhyme scheme throughout the whole poem in every stanza.
18. BEAUTY IS TRUTH
PRATHEEK PRAVEEN KUMAR
Beauty is truth, beauty is life, Beauty makes a girl quickly a loved wife, Though beauty causes oft being loved easily, Beauty is not all as everyone can see, For Beauty is skin-deep like
grapes sans juice, Or huge headlines without core news. Yet, beauty is truth in the truest of true call While beauty goes deep and enwraps the whole, It gives its owner the greatest of the
pleasure, So great that the joy goes beyond any measure In being in the reach of the ultimate cosmic role Of that peace and harmony that constitute all. Beauty is that end, it is the cosmic
soul, That created this world and enlivens one and all.
19. The poem, Beauty is Truth, uses rhyme scheme and personification.
Rhyme scheme is used in every stanza. Personification is used when
the writer describes beauty. For example: “beauty is life”
20. PHYSICAL BEAUTY
DAVID J. PIPKIN
Physical beauty for those who have money set the pace for the human race place such high standards rate however the beauty within keeps
showing throughout every time someone helps you when you are down and out that's what real beauty is all about the that lays within
from a smile deep within or a hug from a loved one you can spend money time and time again however in the end the winner will be the
beauty within there is no doubt that's what beauty is all about.
21. The poem, Physical Beauty, uses a little bit of alliteration in the poem. The mood of this poem is
hopeful because it states how people can help others and our world isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out
to be because of people who know what beauty really is. This poem also uses a lot of rhyme scheme.
24. I AM
I Am
Love, Laughter, Hope
I care very much about my friends and family.
Honesty is important to me
Fairness is important to me
Trust is important to me
Having fun is a good thing
Overthinking is bad, but can help you to realize things.
Summer is approaching
The days are getting longer
People need to enjoy themselves
I Am
25. CREDO
I believe in the caring of others
What goes around comes around
Hard work pays off
Money does not buy happiness
Courage is important
But judging people makes you the bad person
I believe in respecting others
I believe in love at first sight
I believe that you get out what you put in
And I believe in the golden rule: Treat people how you would
like to be treated.
26. BLOTZ
This is a Doodlum
Doodlums live in dungeons deep under the dirt in Denver.
Doodlums eat delicious doritos, chocolate dipped donuts, dill pickles,
and drink diet coke.
Doodlums drive dodge darts down hills, and dress dogs up.
Doodlums doodle, draw, and dumpster dive.
This doodlumgave me a detention for dangerous distracted driving.
27. FIVE SENSES
Summer is bright yellow
It tastes like ice cream
It sounds like country music
And it smells like bonfire
It looks like kids swimming and playing outside
And makes you feel free
