fire tree/ firetree/ faya tree Morella faya (Myricaceae) Coconut Tree Cocos nucifera L. Siniguelas spanishplum or Jocote  Flora Coconuts are the seeds of the coconut palm tree and considered a type of nut. The "meat" of the coconut is high in protein; whereas the milk is refreshing, light and low in sugar. Aside from their culinary purposes, they are also used for cosmetic purposes and as a mosquito repellent (burning the husk). Fire tree is a major habitat modifier because it significantly increases soil nitrogen levels. Not only does it successfully outcompete native plant species, but it also makes habitats more suitable for other invasive species because of increased soil fertility. Siniguelas is the name the fruit is known as in the Philippines, where they are not hard to come by. With the amount of Caribbean names, it seems they are also common in the Caribbean. You probably won’t be able to find them on the mainland, but for those in Hawaii.
