This is a presentation about marriage, specifically communication. Having great communication is one of the keys to having a great marriage. One of the greatest factors in marriage is communication. In order to be a good husband one has to learn how to communicate with your spouse. The separation between husband and wife expands quickly when communication starts to die out. Several years ago a survey was given to several hundred divorced couples. The study revealed that 75% of women knew that their marriage was in trouble when their husbands stopped having daily communication with them.

Be a Great Listener
 Think Before Responding
 Explain Yourself Thoroughly
 Admit When You are Wrong-Humility


5. BE A GREAT LISTENER
Listening means the way you interpret information
from another party.
Maintain eye contact
 Be focused on your spouse
 Be involved in the conversation


6. THINK BEFORE RESPONDING
Know how to read your spouse before responding
to the situation.
Know your spouses triggers (positive or negative)
 Read body language
 Know when to joke or when to be serious


7. EXPLAIN YOURSELF THOROUGHLY
Don’t just share information, but explain All details
about the situation
 Example “ How did your day go?”

Respond in detail
 Do not just say, “Good.”


Do not be shallow when giving explanations

8. ADMIT WHEN YOU ARE WRONG
Both parties should show humility
 Do not be afraid or embarrassed to admit when you
have messed up
 Learn to give genuine and sincere apologies when
in the wrong

