2. I love the idea of having students create online
books instead of just doing worksheets!
I have had the students create books before, but
always only with paper and markers. I feel like
having it online would intrigue them more.
I feel like this is perfect for my subject matter
because I present such elementary concepts, so
it is very conducive to creating child-like books!
3. Spaghetti Sauce
“You have been looking for the perfect Pepsi,
when you should really be looking for the perfect
Pepsis.”
You need to look at the data and gather it into
clusters of what people like, and then create the
product in several different varieties, not just the
“one perfect one.”
People are not able to determine or tell you what
they want because they do not know what they
want.
We need to look at things on a horizontal plane–
“there is no such thing as a good mustard or a bad
mustard, there are just different types of mustards.”

People in the cooking world were interested in
finding “universals”, but we must understand the
nature of human variability. Searching for
universals does us a major disservice.
“In embracing the diversity of human beings, we
will find a true way to happiness”

Relates to Teaching!
We need to see our students as different learners.
There is no such thing as a “good” student or a
“bad” student, they are all just different from one
another.
We need to group students in clusters where they
will learn best an thrive.
We need to be willing to vary our styles (as far as
management and instruction) in order to meet
our students’ different needs and learning styles
6. Classroom Management
That was my theme this week, so I am not
reflecting as I normally do, but I have some
thoughts still:
I love using discussion as a form of teaching/
furthering understanding of concepts!
As we share ideas, I think it helps us connect with
one another as well as “build our toolbox” for what
we can use in our own classrooms and how we can
become better.
Remember, it always goes back to what works for
YOU! Your management style needs to fit with who
you are as a person!
