2. "Wow!" Douglas said to his grandpa as he stood in the doorway of the older man's workshop. "You sure have a big collection of baseball caps!"
3. Grandpa Dave smiled. He had racks on two of the walls of his workshop, each covered with baseball caps. He had begun his collection about two years earlier.
4. That's when he won an autographed cap at a baseball game. Since he wore a cap nearly every day, he decided it would be fun to begin a collection.
5. So, from that point on, Grandpa Dave had been on the lookout for caps. He would get special ones when he and Grandma Jan went on trips. He'd talk about his collection to people they met, and before long, folks were bringing him caps from their trips. Each cap "told a story."
6. As Douglas looked at each hat, trying several on, Grandpa Dave told him where it came from. Douglas thought the stories might take all day, but that was okay. What a neat collection Grandpa Dave had.
