2. • After reading the play, “Damon and Pythias,” for
sustained silent reading, the students selected a
character and acted out the two scenes of the
play. Segments of each scene were captured by
the ELMO.
3. • Students followed the plot closely, as events led
from the rising action to the climax, the falling
action, and finally the resolution.

was on the job
as she pointed
out key stage
directions that
contributed to
the meaning of
the scene and
the actions and
expressions of
the characters.
