• The “First Commandment is about Loyalty.
The Creator of the universe declares He is our God and our
deliverer and asks us to demonstrate our love for Him by
having no other God's. The First Commandment is the first
of a series of four that define our relationship with our
Heavenly Father.

• “Thou shall not have another God before me.”
• You should always put God first.

• God- the creator and ruler of the universe and
source of all moral authority; the supreme being.
• Other- used to refer to a person or thing that is
different or distinct from one already mentioned or
known about.
6. How to keep and break this
commandment
• Keep: By remembering to keep Good in your life and always obey him.
• Break: you just look to something other than God for salvation or
happiness. It can be maddeningly easy for religious people to fail here.
We often look to religion itself to save us. We fulfill our Sunday
obligation—by sitting through Mass while we plan our week. We go to
confession—and repeat the list we always repeat, with no real plan to
change.

say about God?
• It think the first commandment shows that God
can be jealous and he he wants to be the only
one in your life. Also that he wants to be your first
priority at all times.
