  • What does treasure mean to you? To value above all else?
  • First you must listen, then apply. Hasty application could lead to errors in the received message and the application. Hearing and listening are different.
  • Discernment means an understanding of the meaning of the word. I might know that the word love means caring for someone else, but until I actually do it, I cannot discern its meaning. When you pray, you must ask God for the wisdom to understand of his word.
  • To sincerely seek means to seek with expectation and faith, knowing that God is going to reveal His truth to you in His time, as the Holy Spirit permits. Hidden treasures are buried deeply, which means if we want to know God’s will, we will have to do more than just a surface inspection of his word, we will have to study.
  • This is the main thing our children are missing today, fear of the Lord. The do not fear the Lord because the have no knowledge of Him. Without knowledge of Him, they do not know that wisdom and understanding come from Him. Therefore they miss many of His blessings, and if our children are not blessed, neither are we.
  • .
  • Is it the right thing to do? Managers do things right, but leaders do the right things. How will we know what the right thing is, the wisdom of God.
  • Just because Jesus died for my sins to fulfill the law does not mean the law no longer exists. Thou shalt not still means just that. Even though repenting and asking for forgiveness frees us from the slavery of sin does not give us carte blanche to sin willfully. I will not be controlled by my fleshly desires
  • Is your decision going to make you bigger and more powerful and wise than the almighty God? I think not.
  • Was Jesus’ death profitable for Him? The more I help others get what they need and want, the more I will receive of what God wants me to have. I should not help thinking of what I can receive in return, but just for the opportunity to help another of God’s creation…
  • Does my decision line up with scripture? Is it Christ-like?
