This presentation show you how to create a MindMeister (mind mapping web app) account and get started creating your first mind map. Created for the CAPP123 Online Course at MSJC.

2. Step 1:
Go to http://www.mindmeister.com/
Step 2:
Click on
Sign Up For Free

3. Step 3:
Click on Sign Up at the very bottom of the page
under Basic (Free)

4. Step 4:
Either create an account (option 1) or sign in using
your Facebook or Google account (option 2)

5. Step 5:
Email Facebook/Google
Go to your email and click on You will be redirected to the
the link; click on Start at the page below. Click on the
bottom of the welcome page. MindMeister logo at the top
left to go to your account
page.

6. Step 6:
Click on My First Mind Map to
view a tutorial about getting
started. Click on Next Step to
progress through the tutorial.

7. Step 7:
Click on My Maps to return to your Account Page
and Click on New Mind Map to create your
masterpiece!
I recommend starting with a blank map, but if
you want to use a template go ahead.

8. Step 8:
Add Nodes (new ideas/topics) by clicking on the
plus sign. Delete Items you don’t want by clicking
on the No icon. Change the way your node looks
or add an image using the properties box.

9. Step 9:
When you are finished creating your MindMap,
click on the map options icon at the bottom of the
page, and then choose Publish.

10. Step 10:
When the Publish Map dialog box opens click
Publish. Copy the URL from the dialog box and
paste it in your blog.
