  • 5. Where are you selling the products? How much are you selling it for?

  • 7. How global are you? Begin with an end in mind!
  • 8. What is your intended package?
  • 9.  Have a Unique Selling Preposition.  Know your No-No or Yes-Yes ingredient list.  Define your selling continents.  Know your intended retail cost.  Different situation calls for different strategies.  Have several distribution channel strategy.  Communicate your packaging requirements.
  • 10. Working With Your Suppliers The Five Questions On Working With Suppliers: Competency? Compliance? Test Support? Lab Support? Claims/Clinicals?

  • 15.  Ask what is their competency.  Ask for ingredient breakdown/compliance.  Ask for additional tests if needed.  Ask for lab prototype or custom project.  Ask to use clinical data/photo or trade name.
  • 16. Working with Your Contract Manufacturers The Five Questions On Working With Contract Manufactuers: Certification? Formula Ownership? Manufacturing Equipment? Can they fill? Testing Support?
  • 17. What certifications do they have? How to own the formula?
  • 18. What manufacturing equipment do they have? Can they fill the products?
  • 19. What tests do they conduct?
  • 20.  Ask for the certification.  Ask if you can own the formula.  Ask if they have the equipment for your product.  Ask if they can fill your package.  Ask for what types of tests they conduct.
  • 21. The product development process Product development is like giving a birth. Please allow at least 9 months. Take your own risk for pre-mature birth.
