What are the
hazards?
Who might be
harmed and how?
What further action
is necessary?
Action my
whom
Injuries from
tripping over
wires.
Myself or the
models/ actresses
who are part of my
tasks. We can trip
over the wires and
injure ourselves.
Making sure that all
the wires in the studio
and gym are out the
way therefore
preventing anyone
tripping over them.
Myself and
my media
teacher Paul
Jarvis.
The back drop. My models. They
can injure their
whole body by the
backdrop falling on
them.
By preventing the
back drop from falling
down on the models. I
must make sure I
inform them that it is
possible therefore
making sure they are
aware and keep a
slight distance.
Myself and
my media
teacher Paul
Jarvis.
Spilt liquids
leading to
electrocution
My models and
myself. The liquid
fusing with the plug
sockets can
electrocute us.
By bringing liquids for
example drinks in
both the studio and
the gym and leaving
them by a plug socket
is a hazard. This is
because this can cause
an electrocution.
Therefore to prevent
this make sure drinks
aren’t brought in or
are far from the plug
sockets.
Myself and
my media
teacher Paul
Jarvis.
Light stands My models and
myself.
Because the studio
will be fairly dark the
light stands will not be
very obvious to be
seen. Therefore I must
be very alert at what’s
around me at all times.
As well as informing
my models of this
hazard so they avoid
tripping over them.
Myself and
my media
teacher Paul
Jarvis.
Gym equipment My models The gym equipment I
will be using are the
bike and running
machine. Therefore to
avoid injuries
happening I must
instruct my model
how to use them

Weights. My models. If the
weights are
dropped they can
injure the models
feet.
The action I must take
to avoid this
happening is that the
models must have a
tight grip to the
weights when using
them.
Myself and
my media
teacher Paul

Curtain in the
studio.
My models and
myself. The
curtains drape
down to the floor
therefore it is easy
to trip over them.
The action I must take
to avoid this injury
occurring is making
sure my filming is not
near the curtain. As
well as being aware its
there and informing
my model to be
careful.
