Belize's imports in the first five months of 2014 totaled $796.7 million, a 7.3% increase from the same period in 2013. The largest increases were in mineral fuels and lubricants (+$20 million) and other manufactured goods (+$13 million). The United States was Belize's largest source of imports at $250 million or 31% of imports. Domestic exports in the first five months of 2014 totaled $254.7 million, a 23.1% decrease from 2013, largely due to declines in crude petroleum, sugar, and orange concentrate exports. The European Union was Belize's largest export destination, accounting for $107 million or 42% of export receipts.
