million
ounces

gold
could
eventually
be
extracted
from
the
Malartic
Marban
property,
in
the
Malartic
mining
camp.

A
recent
update
of
the
mineral
resources
of
the
Marban
project,
just
published
by
Aurizon
Mines,
earning
its
option
from
which
works
in
partnership
with
the
NioGold
Mining
Corporation
to
promote
its
value
reveals
that
:
adjacent
and
surrounding
the
previously
producing
Marban
Mine
ancient
mine
of
the
same
name,
the
Marban
Block
Property
contains
three
deposits,
namely:
Marban,
Norlatic
and
KieriensKierens.
The
Marban
BlockIt
covers
an
area
of
976
hectares.
Open
pit
The
previous
estimate
of
the
Marban
deposit
(as
part
of
the
Marban
Block)which
dates
back
to
December
2009,
established
the
measured
and
indicated
resources
content
at
181,000
ounces
of
gold
as
well
as
a
presumed
amount
inferred
resources
of
114,000
ounces
of
gold
from
a
potential
underground
operation.
That
gold
was
located
it
its
entirety
in
the
underground
portion
of
the
project.
The
September
2012
update
increases
the
resources
and
indicates
the
majority
of
the
Marban
deposit
is
economic
as
an
open-­‐pit,
with
a
reduction
of
the
ounces
in
the
underground
portion
of
the
deposit
to
effected
a
reduction
of
the
potential
for
the
Marban
underground
to
89,000
ounces
of
gold
measured
and
indicated
as
well
as
a
presumed
amount
of
inferred
resources
of
69,000
ounces
of
gold.
However,
the
137
holes
drilled
by
Aurizon,
during
the
first
of
three
phases
that
took
place
between
August
30,
2010
and
August
9,
2011,
have
added
allowed
the
addition
of
measured
and
indicated
amount
of
1
053
000
ounces
gold
as
well
as
a
presumed
an
inferred
amount
of
194,000
ounces
of
gold
in
a
new
open
pit
air
section
resource.
In
combining
these
estimates
with
those
of
the
Norlartic
and
Kierens
deposits,
whichthat
have
not
yet
been
updated
from
the
2009
report
published,
the
Marban
Block
property
contains
would
potentially
be
valued
at
1
559
000
ounces
of
measured
and
indicated
gold
and
could
harbour
a
presumed
510,000
ounces
of
inferred
gold.
Potential
for
development
The
preliminary
metallurgical
tests
performed
for
the
Marban
deposit
indicated
a
recovery
rate
of
gold
in
the
order
of
95,4
to
97,6
percent.
"Combined
with
the
estimates
that
permitted
to
establish
the
continuity
of
the
mineralized
zone
in
the
initial
depth
of
250
meters,
these
results
favorably
position
the
deposit
for
a
potential
development,"
as
communicated
by
the
Aurizon

Should
Aurizon
and
NioGold
decide
to
go
forward,
the
open
air
pit
could
make
its
presence
at
Marban
with
an
area
of
1400
meters
in
length
by
a
width
of
850
meters
with
a
depth
of
350
meters.
Any
other
deposits
would
likely
be
mined
subterraneously.
