How To Mount A Navigator To A Moffet Mount1
1. MOUNTING A NAVIGATOR FORKLIFT TO A MOFFET MOUNT SYSTEM
1. The both front tires of the Navigator must fully engage the top and front tire
supports when mounted on a Moffet style mount. See pictures below.

2. Safety chains must be attached to the Navigator D-ring with a 1/2” coupling
link with a minimum working load limit of 15,000 lbs.

3. Safety support chains must be cut to length so they are as short as possible
when the Navigator is mounted and the mast is tilted back as far as possible.
Use original Moffet mounting safety pin with a 1/2” coupling link with a
minimum working load limit of 15,000 lbs.to attach safety support chain to
truck or trailer. Also safety chain hanger may be needed on the Navigator to
keep the safety chains from off the ground while the unit is in use.

4. After the machine is mounted it is important that the general mounting
requirements are met. We also recommend filling out a mounting
application and faxing it to tel: 228-864-1381 for approval.
DIMENSIONS
Note: The information below covers the general dimensions and requirements to accept most Navigator
Forklifts. Fill out a Rig-out application and contact Chrisman Manufacturing to make sure your specific
truck or trailer meets the requirements of carrying a Navigator Rig-out and a Navigator forklift.
A. A minimum dimension of 32” is recommended from the back of the rear tire to the end of the bed.
The maximum dimension is 48”.
B. The minimum dimension from bottom of the rear cross member to the ground must be at least 49”. It
is recommended that the Navigator is mounted as high as possible to avoid contact with the ground
while in transport.
C. The minimum recommended distance from the bottom of the front tire to the ground when mounted
is 11”.
D. The minimum recommended distance from the bottom of the rear tire to the ground when mounted
is 17”.
