Stuart Spencer is a project manager who specializes in reducing costs for water and waste water services through his Auditel business. He has worked with a wide range of clients in different industries, providing audits that have identified refunds and savings opportunities. Water and Waste Water
I run my Auditel business based on a mixture of my own clients and JV work within the
network, mainly in my favoured specialist areas of water and waste water.
I am a project manager by trade and before embarking on my Auditel career spent time
in various management positions with United Biscuits (McVities, KP), TNT Express, The
Unipart Group, and latterly in the public sector with the Learning & Skills Council. My
employed career started off with operational roles in distribution & logistics, before I
moved into systems analysis, business analysis and project management, and at one point
included a spell with an IT consultancy earning fees as a PM, and where I was placed
leading teams at such clients as Transco (now National Grid) and Powergen (now E.ON).
I’ve worked with clients in a range of industries in my 10 years with Auditel, including
hotels, hospitality & event management, car dealerships, accident repair centres,
manufacturers, accountants, golf clubs, catering companies, retailers, holiday & leisure,
local councils, a theatre, farms, printer and a recruitment consultancy.
I have two Auditel success stories published concerning clients both of which remain
active many years after I first signed them - the National Motorcycle Museum Group, and
the Oxford Union Society. For most of my own clients I am involved in managing down
the costs of energy & telecoms, water and waste.
For business owners looking to reduce overheads, water related services are seldom the
first on the list for attention, but charges have to be justifiable and accurate, usage can be
managed and controlled, and allowances/rebates may be due.
No two water projects are the same; the possibilities and variations are considerable and
depend on the type of business, location, topography, and the supplier(s) involved. If
appropriate we can and do enlist specialist outsourced resource in order to enhance results.
