Newsletter
The PURPOSE of Leaf Services is to
positively impact people’s lives. And that’s
exactly what we are doing under the
direction of President, Scott MacKenzie.
His passion, drive, mission, and purpose
can be summed up into that one
statement.
With his unwavering enthusiasm, this
company offers safe, reliable, and cost
effective labor solutions that are central in
providing the highest level of customer
satisfaction. Due to this, Leaf Services
ensures the highest level of customer
service possible.
Leaf embraces its purpose to the fullest. Our
purpose is the reason why we do what we do.
We have a big picture of what we want to do,
where we want to go, and how we want to
get there. Our vision is to not only focus on
our valued customers, but to create a change
and also give back to the community,
continuous training in safety, and technical
education for our employees. We value our
employees and all of their hard work they
do for the company. And in return, we are
financially committed in providing ongoing
education to them.
Our main focus within the community has
been to work hand-in-hand with other
organizations that understand our purpose
and vision. Some of these organizations
include South Central Louisiana Technical
College in Reserve, and New Zion Christian
Center in Gramercy. We have also adopted a
local nursing home, Chateau St. James in
Lutcher, and provide services of help and
support.
Community
& Business
Partnerships
Furthermore, we have formed strategic
partnerships within our community to help
extend a more creative and social
development in providing economic
growth. When seeking partnerships, our
procurement defines us at our best. We can
provide solution needs in engineering,
construction, environmental management,
scaffolding, machine fabrication, janitorial,
railcar and, tankerman/dockman. Some of
our alliances are with Picou Construction in
Madisonville, Up & Down Scaffolding in
Paulina, and Precision Seals in Plaquemine.
We see a need in continuing to broaden the
potential of businesses in providing efficient
solutions. And this is why it is very important
for us to continue offering the products and
services that are worthwhile and practical in
creating change within our economy.

Campus. Under the tutelage of Mr. James
“Sammy” Oubre, Jr., this fast growing

challenge of providing students with
classroom education to prepare them for
the number of jobs available in the
industrial maintenance field.
Also, Leaf employees perform daily
inspections on every piece of equipment
used, completes Job Safety Analysis, has
bi-weekly brown bag safety training and
formal monthly training.
Overall, Leaf Services has a cost effective
business model that provides the highest
level of safety training and compliance.
This program trains students on a variety

maintain industrial machines and
equipment. Students also learn how to
test, adjust, and repair pneumatic &

Leaf Services and New Zion have
partnered together in creating an
exceptional free program geared toward
those individuals age 17 or older looking to
obtain a basic industrial training and
certification. The programs core focus is to
improve the value of the individual by
providing them with a customized course
of industrial training and job readiness
skills. Instructed by qualified safety and job
placement personnel, after course
completion, the certification adds
credibility to the participants in which they
will have more ample opportunities of
obtaining a job. Employers seeking entry-
level employees are more likely to hire
individuals who have successfully met the
requirements and have a better
understanding of what it takes to get hired
with a company.
Classes begin on March 7, 2015 from 8:30
am – 1:00 pm and will be conducted at the
Louisiana Sugar Refinery in Gramercy, LA.

Nearly all industrial equipment today has
one thing in common—a computer control.
Therefore, as an introduction to the
industrial automation of real world
processes, students of the Programmable
Logics Controller (PLC) class, were given a
tour around LSR to view several controlling
methods used by plant operators. This tour
gave them a more clear understanding of
the structure and type of Ladder Logic
programming used in most of the
manufacturing machines today.
In keeping with the spirit of giving back to
the community, Leaf has adopted a local
retirement/nursing home—Chateau St.
James in Lutcher. Volunteering our time
there has been a rewarding activity for our
group. Some of our guys have yet to
experience the incomparable feeling a
person gets when they volunteer their
time. And for them, it’s trying something
new and creating job experience. But as a
whole, we are making a difference and
providing services and support within our
community. Plus, the positive change that
we can make in helping others is
immeasurable
