18.  Practice what you’re going to say ahead of time
 Make sure there isn’t any background noise and that
the wall behind you isn’t too busy
 Dress professionally in business attire
 Look at the camera and frame yourself well
 Don’t speak too fast
 Start by mentioning your name (first and last)
 Keep your video resume short (1-3 minutes)
 Thank the viewer for considering you for employment

36. Infographic Resume Features
 Photo – People respond to photos. If you’ve got a good one (professional and
flattering and conveying the right image), use it.
 Summary/Tagline – Use a headline format to summarize who you are.
You can focus solely on the professional or add a bit of personality.
 Headings – Still contain many of the headings of traditional resumes
 Timeline – Often use a visual timeline to show employment history, key
achievements, and career milestones.
 Quotes/References –Testimonials and quotes from current and former
managers, clients, or colleagues. Quote press mentions and other
positive buzz about you. These are strong credibility builders.
