 Tamim has a science fair project due on Thursday.
 Tamim had been invited to his friend’s birthday party on Wednesday. The party will
last from 4:00-8:00.
 Tamim’s cousins will be coming over at 5:30 on Monday. There’s no set on time on
when they’ll leave.

a. Active Learning 35-40 mns
i. Purpose: allow students to be active and have fun applying what they
have learned
- 4 stations, with each testing a different skill. Kids have to complete all stations in a
certain amount of time. It’s up to the kid to determine the order of the stations and
how much time is given to complete each task.
 Station 1: A picture/model of a Lego figure will be placed on the table. Kids will have
to assemble the figure using the loose pieces of Lego provided to them.
 Station 2: Quiz #2
 Station 3: Place together a medium sized jigsaw puzzle.
 Station 4: Have the students place items in a book bag. This includes HW papers,
pens, erasers, folders, workbooks, notebooks etc. This will teach kids to organize so
it takes less time to find their work in school.
Scoring Rubric
Station 1 (35 Points) – (35 = Perfect) (30 = Some pieces don’t match)
(25 = Many pieces don’t match) (20 = Kids were able to achieve the general shape)
Station 2 (35 points) – Kids lose 3 points for every question they get wrong.
Station 3 (20 Points) – Puzzle has to be completed.
Station 4 (10 Points) – A point is taken off for every object that is misplaced.
Incompletion of any stage will result in the group losing all points for that stage. No partial
credit is given to incomplete work.
b. Conclusions 15-20mns
i. Purpose: Recap discussions, make sure students understand importance
of time management.
1. Quickly review the quiz.
2. Discussion on how kids will manage their time from now on.
3. Final statements.
