Climate change and melting ice caps are forcing
polar bears south onto dry land in Canada, while
road construction and mining in the south are
pushing grizzly bears north. As a result, the
world has been introduced to a new hybrid bear
– the “Pizzly Bear”. While this may sound
exciting, it is creating many problems for these
two species. Pizzly Bears are not as adept at
swimming and fishing as polar bears, and their
long claws make it harder to walk on ice. Their offspring are infertile,
and because they are so rare, they are a target for hunters.
Please help our animal population - have your pets spayed or neutered!
