Nataliya describes her typical weekend activities. On Saturdays she has classes at university and does homework in the evenings. Sundays involve sleeping in, having breakfast, reading, socializing with friends online or in person, going to malls or cafes, and sometimes hosting guests for dinner. She enjoys spending weekends relaxing and socializing before starting a new week.

2. TYPICAL WEEKEND
Weekend includes:
OSaturday;
OSunday.

3. ON SATURDAYS
O I usually go to the university on Saturdays. I
have two lessons.
O After them, I come back home, have lunch and
tidy up my flat.
O In the evening I do homework and read some
interesting book.

5. ON SUNDAYS
O I get up at 8 or 9 a.m. on Sundays as I have a lie-in.
It isn’t so early as we have to get up during the
week.
O I take a shower and then I have breakfast with a
cup of fragrant coffee.

6. ON SUNDAYS
OAfter meal I read an interesting book and
listen to music.
OI also chat with my friends in social
networks or visit them.

7. ON SUNDAYS
OSometimes we go to malls to buy something
necessary and just to go window-shopping.

8. ON SUNDAYS
O For example, last Sunday we walked into the
old town, went to café to have a snack and
then we went to the cinema.
O We had great time!

9. ON SUNDAYS
O In the evenings we often have guests.
O My mother and I cook dinner and lay the table
bringing plates, spoons, forks and putting them on
the table.
O However, after such a tableful I have to wash up.

10. ON SUNDAYS
O Before sleep I read and listen to music.
O I often stay up late for a good book.

11. WEEKENDS
I like weekends. I think if we spend our weekends
well, we’ll begin the next week with pleasure.
