2. MULTIMEDIA
A file or content that is a combination of two or
more media is referred to as multimedia.
Multimedia devices are electronic media devices
used to store and experience multimedia content.
6. Working of a camera
LENS :A camera lens collects the available light and focuses it on the
sensor.
APPERATURE :The aperture is the size of the opening in the camera.
It's located behind the lens
SHUTTER :The amount of time that light is allowed to pass through
the aperture.
• CHARGED COUPLED DEVICE(CCD) :The CCD is a collection of
tiny light-sensitive diodes, which convert photons (light) into electrons
(electrical charge). These diodes are called photosites. In a nutshell,
each photosite is sensitive to light -- the brighter the light that hits a
single photosite, the greater the electrical charge that will accumulate at
that site.
7. WORKING OF CAMERA
• ANLOG TO DIGITAL CONVERTER : IT converts the
electrically received information into digital(binary
format).
• MICROPROCESSOR : Interpolation is handled
by a microprocessor after the data has been
digitized.
• DISPLAY :Once the image leaves the CCD sensor , it is
ready to be viewed on the DISPLAY.
8. TYPES OF DISPLAYS IN MOBILES
LCD
TFT

OLED
AMOLED
SUPER AMOLED
RETINA DISPLAY
11. The display resolution of a digital system is the number of
pixels in each dimension that can be displayed.
It is usually quoted as width × height, with the units in
pixels: for example, "1024 × 768" means the width is 1024
pixels and the height is 768 pixels.
14. CODECS AND CONTAINERS
CODECS CONTAINERS
Short for encoder/decoder
Chief determiner of quality.
Eg MPEG
WMV
QUICKTIME 6
Container describes the
structure of a file. where the
various pieces are stored and
which codec is used by which
piece.
It contains the audio/video
codec and metadata.
.MP4/AVI
.ASF
.MOV
15. •FM broadcasting is a broadcasting technology pioneered by
Edwin Howard Armstrong .
•The term "FM band" describes the frequency band in a given
country which is dedicated to FM broadcasting
16. FREQUENCY MODULATION
• Frequency modulation is a form of modulation which conveys
information over a carrier wave by varying its frequency.
18. Radio frequency channels
A communication channel, or channels, refers either
to a physical transmission medium such as a wire, or to
a logical connection over a multiplexed medium such
as a radio channel.
A channel is used to convey an information signal.
A channel has a certain capacity for transmitting
information, often measured by its bandwidth in Hz
or its data rate in bits per second.
