10. Stuck With no chains, and a visible layer of ice, this turn took us over an hour. People were running along next to our jeep throwing dirt in front of the tires to try to add traction. Eventually the ice won and we had to turn around.

13. The Top Reaching the highest point in the road, we begin our descent to Pangong lake, still at least two hours in front of us, depending on the ice. Luckily, the snow has stopped and the sun has made our descent considerably less perilous.
