2. iMovie
We used iMovie to edit our film. We all took
turns to have a go at editing our opening. I
found iMovie quite complicated to use at the
beginning, but found as I became more
familiar with using it, it became easier. I
think it is a good tool to use to edit as it
works well and helped to make our opening
look professional

3. iMovie
In our film we used transitions. These included fade in and fade out.
We decided on these transitions after previewing several other
transitions including dissolve. We then agreed that fade in and fade out
would be more appropriate for our opening as it gave more of a
mysterious and ominous effect, which fits in perfectly with the mood of
our film.
We used the fade out transition at the end of scene 1 (where Sophie is
hugging her children) – this signifies that this is the end of her
happiness and shows the audience that the day has changed from
the first scene to the next.
We then used a fade in at the start of scene 2 (where Dr Campbell is
sat at her desk opening Sophie’s case file – which is also the titles
for our film). We used the fade in transition here as it added to the
suspense and overall atmosphere of the scene.

4. iMovie
We designed our titles on iMovie, we decided on a plain black background with
grey lettering – we did this as it draws the audiences attention to the title of
the film and they cannot be easily distracted by the film running over the top
of the titles

5. Blogger
To present our coursework for our film
opening we decided to use Blogger. I
found blogger straightforward to use and
easy to upload presentations onto from
programs, such as PowerPoint and Prezi.
These are easily added to Blogger by
finding the embed code and copying the
code into HTML box on blogger and then
composing the post

6. Prezi
One of the programs I used to present my
coursework in a different format on
blogger was Prezi – Prezi is an internet
based zoomable presentation canvas –
which enables you to present your work in
a different and slightly unusual way. I
found Prezi straightforward to use and
useful to be able to present my
coursework in a fun and interesting way.
